Launch of the Asus ZenBook Pro 15

Several days ago the all new Asus ZenBook Pro 15 was launched in Malaysia and I had the honor of being there at the launch event. We had the opportunity to test out the new product as several of them were displayed , along with other new devices such as the ZenBook S and VivoBook. Their event were well planned and a giant ZenBook Pro 15 (with live Touch Pad) was displayed on the stage.

Intelligent touch pad (all new Screenpad)
This new feature is the true innovation of laptop technology as the touch pad was ever only used as the alternative to a mouse. Now the ZenBook Pro 15 presents the 5.5" FHD (1920 x 1080) Super IPS+ display as an extended screen, screen pad and also a touch screen.
When the touch pad is being used as a secondary screen, it does not lose its touch pad function. This feature is great for multitasking. Think about when you need to edit photos/videos, this intelligent touch pad will ease the process so much more.
ScreenPad is a Windows Precision Touchpad (PTP) that has helpful functions that can intelligently adapt to match whatever the user is doing, making it easier and quicker to multitask and get things done. A simple press of the F6 function key toggles ScreenPad between touchscreen mode and touchpad mode. Special dedicated ScreenPad Apps run within ScreenPad itself, with a variety of useful tools including Calculator, Music Player, NumKey and Launcher. Launcher allows users to open or switch between desktop apps via user-customizable shortcuts.
The most impressive part about it is with so many functions on one touch pad, yet it feels just like any other touchpad, plus it is glass-covered for fingerprint and smudge resistance.

Opinions and thoughts:
In my opinion , the futuristic new ScreenPad will transform the way laptops are utilized by users. As a content creator, I became attracted to its features because of how much easier it will make our lives become with the intelligent touch pad. The Pantone Validated display is a major plus point because I believe this is a major issue with editing on the laptop and then transferring it to another device to find that the images on different devices looks duller or overexposed comparing to the actual result we supposedly produced.
