Benefit's They're Real! Remover review
06:27Today's post will be a review about the Benefit They're Real! eye make up remover. It wasn't planned but I bought this remover about a month ago and because I put on make up heavier than the usual on some day so I thought why not.
A brief introduction about this product, it's from Benefit, and it is the same collection as the They're Real! mascara which happens to be the mascara that I was wearing when I did the review. Plus this remover was specially formulated to remove they're real mascara, it is a creamy gel formula that is supposed to remove long-wearing mascara and eyeliner.
When I was young and put on make up for kindergarten performances, my mom would use baby lotion to remove my make up and this reminded me of my little times :) The backdrop is actually my stripes tee in case you were wondering #innovationatitsfinest kidddd HAHA.
If my friends see this they'd be laughing at me now .. So i put on a few layers of naked 3 eyeshadow and it is actually darker than what you see now because usually make up looks lighter in pictures.
Squeezed out some of the cream onto a cotton pad, you know how usually people would say "squeeze out a pea sized amount.." for this I would say "squeeze out multiple pea sized amount because the cotton pad eats up a lot"
Lightly press it against your eye area (with your eye closed of course lol ) and keep it there for about 5 secs maybe depending on your patience. Then wipe it off in one go.
Tadaaaa result after one wipe. I didn't apply that much of mascara hence the less visible result on my eyelashes but it worked really well on my eyeshadow which I forgot to mention that I applied the Urban Decay Eye Primer too!
Always delighted to see a dirty cotton pad when removing make up.
Just to make sure that I removed my eye make up completely I wiped it the 2nd time, now it's completely bare on my eye area.
Overall I'd give it a 4/5, I used to think that I shouldn't waste money on eye remover when I have make up remover in both liquid and oil formula, but I was wrong, it stings so bad. So for those who does any eye makeup , get an eye makeup remover yeah, it's your eyes, why take the risk rightt.
What I like about it: - It's soft and smooth, so it doesn't damage the skin around the eye area
- It removes a lot more than any other eye remover that I've tried before
- Light and easy to carry around
- Light and pleasant scent.
Why it might not be suitable for everyone :
- Considered to be a high-end product
- It has a thick consistency so it's not easily spreadable compared to liquid formulas.
- This creamy gel formula eye remover is not ideal for quick make up fixes as it needs to be rinsed off.
This is just a really really basic review and I'm not an expert in this field, I just thought I would give some thoughts about this product because I couldn't really find any relevant posts, that's it. Thanks for reading ! :)
